Cologne University of Applied Science
The Institute of Rescue Engineering and Emergency Management (IRG) of Cologne University of Applied Sciences (Germany) is involved with different laboratories (f.e. the laboratory for major incidents in the area of training observation and infield-research or for biomedical engineering or data communication systems) in scientific research, evaluation and infield tests. Above 350 students in bachelor and master degree courses (rescue engineering) are involved in the research activities of the IRG. The IRG offers by the Department of Emergency Medicine together with the fire department of Cologne users expertise of emergency management, fire fighting and civil protection.
